Star Trek was broadcast for the very first time forty years ago today. Since then, it’s been cancelled, run out of ideas, drowned in technobabble, strangled by its own continuity, smothered by its own fans and finally seemingly put to sleep. And yet, somehow it keeps boldly going. Which I think makes this video (first screened in London’s, um, legendary Page’s Bar) the perfect tribute.
